Trust properties: Margaret Wood

32 acres of semi-ancient woodland and pasture close to Denby Dale, West Yorkshire. The wood and pasture is a springtime wildlife haven with carpets of bluebells, greater spotted woodpeckers amongst the trees and curlews on the meadows. The Trust support group is running conservation and restoration programmes to manage and enhance the diversity of flora and fauna.

History:The land was made over to the CRT by Deed of Gift from the late Duncan Elliott.
Farm Description:20 acres of semi ancient woodland and 12 acres of pasture.
Tenant Farmers:The woodland is managed by a CRT Support Group. The pasture is rented to a local farmer.
